Nate Smith

Featuring a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Nate Smith’s personal journey inspired him to be a beacon of country-music hope, an inspirational mission he puts front-and-center. A California native, former worship leader, and lifelong music lover, Smith approaches that mission with a background as eclectic as it gets. Learning guitar at 13, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley and Bob Seger were among those informing his powerful, fire-from-within vocals, while Michael Jackson made him crave the spotlight and Nirvana gave his sound a jagged edge. In 2018, Smith lost everything he owned in the devastating Camp Fire which tore through Paradise, California, now known as the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in the state’s history. Although his family was safe, he struggled to cope and turned back to music, hoping that it would help comfort himself and others. Help it did, inspiring a month-long road trip across the U.S. to Music City, writing music and playing dive bars along the way.

Since making it to Nashville, the singer’s “powerhouse tenor” has become “perhaps country music’s fastest-rising beloved voice” (The Tennessean). He’s made a huge splash with songs such as his Platinum-certified multi-week No. 1 hit “Whiskey On You,” which was lauded as the “breakup song of the summer” by Country Now and “an enormously satisfying country kiss-off anthem” by Stereogum. The smash hit has racked up over 405 million total global on-demand streams to date, contributing to Nate’s billion total catalog streams globally. Nate released his debut, self-titled album along with the deluxe version on April 28. The hefty 26-song project hit #6 on Billboard’s Country album charts and #30 on the Billboard Top 200. His latest single off the album, “World On Fire,” is currently Top 5 and climbing at country radio. The CMT Awards and ACM Awards nominee spent the summer touring alongside Thomas Rhett and is currently on the road with Cole Swindell. He’ll kick off his headline WORLD ON FIRE TOUR 2024 in January before hitting the road with Morgan Wallen next spring/summer. Nate is managed by Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and Simon Tikhman with The Core Entertainment.

Drake Milligan

Singer, songwriter, and actor, Drake Milligan has been hailed as a Country traditionalist redefining the current landscape of the music industry. Making his breakout debut, with his critically acclaimed album, Dallas / Fort Worth, Milligan perfected his baritone vocals and honky-tonk hooks to create his one-of-a-kind signature sound.Recently releasing, his follow up EP, Jukebox Songs, Milliganonce again sets the stage for another project full of high-energy, twang and soulful Country.

Tomas Garcilzao, Charro on the Road

Tomas, a native of Mexico City, was introduced at an early age to his family heritage and tradition of "La Charreria" which is a skill performed through the generations only by the Mexican Charro. Charros take extreme pride in their highly developed horsemanship and roping abilities. Tomas, third generation Charro, has devoted his life to sharing Mexico's National Sport La Charreria with the World and along with his family they travels all over the country all year long performing and showcasing his Hispanic Heritage and keeping alive the Western legacy. Tomas has performed throughout Europe, Canada, Brazil, the U.S. and Mexico. He has appeared on Broadway in New York City and toured the U.S. with the Will Rogers Follies, an acclaimed 6 Tony Awards winning musical.

RE-RIDE ROOM

The Re-Ride Room is a place for the rodeo competitors and spectators to gather and reminisce about the rodeo and reunite with friends and family. In the year 2000, it started as a small venue and has become a hub of social activity.

A live band will be featured three of these nights from dark until closing with drinks and dancing.

Parade

The Lake County Labor Day Parade is a tradition in Lake County. The Lake County Chamber of Commerce and the Lake County Desert Cruisers are proud to present the 104th Lake County Labor Day Parade.

The Lake County Labor Day Parade takes place Monday morning on Labor Day. The parade starts on 3rd Street in Lakeview and ends back at the Lakeview High School Baseball/Softball fields. The Lake County Chamber works hard to provide this family friendly event for the whole community. Every year, members of the Lake County Round-Up Association show their support by walking, horse back and even in horse drawn carriages. So many people enjoy the parade from the comfort of their lawns and in the streets of down town Lakeview.

Lake County Rodeo Court

You will find the President, Queen and Princess leading the way for the Lake County Labor Day Parade. The Rodeo Court partakes in multiple events during the year of being the Lake County Rodeo Court.

Parade forms are available at the Lake County Chamber Office at 126 North E Street or online July and August. We ask that you fill out a form if you plan on being the Lake County Labor Day Parade.
